Lancashire Day is on the 27th November. The date when the first Lancastrians were sent to Parliament in 1295 to attend what later became known as “The Model Parliament”,

The day was initiated by the Friends of Real Lancashire and first celebrated in 1996. Town criers

crier

throughout the county announce the “Lancashire Day Proclamation” which declares the historic boundaries of the county, and finishes with “God bless Lancashire, and God save the Queen, Duke of Lancaster” The day has become very popular and receives support from both district councils and Lancashire County Council.
